Yesterday, the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department opened our doors to the community for our annual Open House β an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to visit the firehouse, meet our volunteers, and learn more about what we do.
Visitors were able to: π¨βπ Explore our apparatus and equipment π§― Learn about fire prevention and safety π¬ Discover how to join and the many roles available within our department π Watch a live auto extrication demonstration
A very special thank you goes out to Richard & Chris Meador, who built a fantastic new fire prevention prop for us to use. The Meador familyβs roots run deep here at Dunkirk, and this addition will be an invaluable educational tool for years to come.
We were thrilled to see so many familiar faces β and meet new ones too. Thank you for spending part of your weekend with us, and we canβt wait to see everyone again next year!
