At 0955 hours, Engine Company 5 was alerted for the motor vehicle accident at Route 4 & Upper Pindell Road. Squad 5, Engine 51 & the Fire Chief responded on the call and found a single-vehicle into a tree with the driver trapped & unconscious. The crew from Squad 5 stabilized the vehicle and freed the driver with the Spreaders & O Cutters by removing the driver's side door. The total extrication took less than 2 minutes. The Landing Zone was handled by Squad 5 & Deale Engine 422. Squad 5 cleared the Landing Zone and responded to a medical in Deale.

While crews were operating on the extrication, Ambulance 59 handled a medical local & Engine 51 handled a service call. All units returned to service at 1039 hours.
