The Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad is proud and honored to welcome out newest member to the ranks.

Tanker, a 12 week old Labrador Retriever, joined the department after being rescued by Assistant Fire Chief Sealey on an incident in the Chesapeake Bay. After confirming he was not lost, several vet trips, and meeting the members, it was confirmed that he belonged at Dunkirk.

Tanker immediately won over the membership and was welcomed into the firehouse family.

Tanker has already participated in 30 training hours and completes daily housework to maintain his membership.

Tanker will have a Facebook page in the coming weeks for you to follow.
