At 2315 hours, companies from Southern Calvert & St Mary's County were alerted for the Building Fire at 14478 South Solomons Island Road, the Locust Inn on Solomons Island. First arriving units found a large historic 3 story balloon frame building with fire showing from all floors. The 2nd alarm was sounded bringing the Dunkirk VFD Fire Chief & Assistant Chief (North Side Duty Chief). Upon their arrival, they assisted units on the 3rd floor with extinguishing all remaining fire, returning to service at 0300 hours.
