At 1730 hours, just minutes after clearing an auto accident at Route 4 & Mount Harmony Road, the Dunkirk Volunteers were dispatched to Route 4 & Brickhouse Road for another auto accident. Squad 5, Engine 51 & Ambulace 59 responded and found the same with one person trapped & unresponsive.

The OIC of Squad 5 established the Command as units went to stabilizing the vehicle and removing both driver's side doors & "B" post to extricate the driver. Total extrication took six minutes. The patient was flown to a local trauma center.
