Around 0930, Calvert Control Center alerted station 5 for a vehicle fire near a residence. E52 marked up with 4 crew members within one minute of dispatch. E52 arrived on scene to find a vehicle with fire originating from the engine compartment and approximately 20 feet from the residence. The crew stretched the 1.5" "bumper line" and knocked the fire down within a few minutes. Engine 52's crew cleaned up equipment and cleared the call after 15 minutes on scene.
