| Our probationary members completed portions of their Probationary Engine Packet, with today’s focus on standpipe operations, long-line hose stretches, extending handlines, and large-area search techniques. Training in a real-world environment is invaluable, providing realistic challenges that simply can’t be replicated on the drill ground.
The opportunity also allowed experienced members to refamiliarize themselves with the school’s layout while giving newer members their first walkthrough of one of the largest buildings in our first due area.
We greatly appreciate our partnership with Northern High School and are thankful for the opportunity to train in the communities we serve. Realistic training helps ensure we’re prepared when our neighbors need us most.
