This afternoon at 1226 hours, Dunkirk VFD Squad 5, Ambulance 59 & Chief 5B were dispatched for the overturned vehicle at Route 260 & Boyd’s Turn Road (108 box). Units from North Beach VFD found a two-vehicle accident with one vehicle on its side and the driver trapped.

Crews from North Beach VFD Squad 1, Engine 11 and Dunkirk VFD Squad 5 stabilized the vehicle and flapped the roof to extricate the driver. The patient was flown to a local trauma center. Units from the Dunkirk VFD operated on the scene for 20 minutes.
