First Due Fire on Tenley Place |

At 1136 hours, Dunkirk VFD Engine 52, Truck 5, Tanker 5, Ambulance 59, Chief 5 & both Deputy Chiefs responded to 3525 Tenley Place for the House Fire (503 box). Units from the Dunkirk VFD arrived and found smoke showing from all 4 sides of a two-story house. During the 360, the homeowner advised the fire was located in the basement. The crew from Engine 52 forced entry into the exterior basement door and quickly knocked down all fire. Huntingtown VFD Engine 62 stretched a line to Division 1 and also extinguished fire in the living room area. Truck 5 & North Beach VFD Tower 1 laddered the house and opened up for the Engine companies. Extensive overhaul was required to knock down all visible hot spots. Units operated on the scene for 3 hours. |
