At 0307 hours, Dunkirk VFD Squad 5, Ambulance 59, Chief 5, Chief 5A, Chief 5B & Safety 5 responded to Fowler Road & Arbor Way for the serious accident. Huntingtown VFD Squad 6, Ambulance 69 & Medic 105 were also dispatched.

The Dunkirk VFD found a single vehicle on its side after striking a tree head-on. Both occupants had been removed from the vehicle by bystanders prior to fire department arrival. One patient was flown to a local trauma center. The second patient was transported by ambulance to a local trauma center.
