At 2022 hours, Dunkirk VFD Squad 5, Chief 5A & Chief 5B responded to the motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the Route 2 & Friendship Road traffic circle (Anne Arundel 42-21 box).

Units found an overturned pickup truck with one person trapped. Once the passenger side door was removed, it was determined that the patient had been partially ejected, pinning the head. The crews from Squad 5 & North Beach VFD Squad 1 cribbed & lifted the vehicle prior to making several cuts to free the driver. Total extrication took approximately 30 minutes. The patient was air lifted to a local trauma center.
