At 1609 hours, Squad 5, Tanker 5 & Brush 5 were dispatched for the barn fire at 5469 Brooks Woods Road (9-08 box) in Lothian. First arriving units found a fully-involved barn loaded with hay and the surrounding field on fire.

Squad 5 pulled roof tin and other material to open up for Engine Companies. Brush 5 worked on extinguishing the field fire. Tanker 5 shuttled water for the fireground. Units operated on the scene for several hours.

On a side note, Dunkirk VFD member Justin Howes was notified on the fireground that he leaves for the Army tomorrow, 68W, Combat Medic. We wish him the best of luck!
