This afternoon around 1600, company 5 was alerted for a house fire in the 126xx blk of So.MD Blvd. Units arrived to find a 2 story single family home with smoke showing from the 2nd floor.

Eng 51 advanced an attack line to the 2nd floor to find a small fire in the master bathroom. After Sqd 20 opened up the ceiling, the bulk of the fire was located & quickly extinguished.

Units remained on scene for 2hrs assisting the home owner with salvaging some their property & assisting the fire marshal with determining a cause. The cause was determined to be arching wires from an attic fan.
