Fully-Involved Barn Fire in Huntingtown

At 2023 hours, Engine 51, Tanker 5 & the Deputy Chief were alerted for the barn fire at 540 Carla Drive.

First arriving units reported a fully-involved 50’ X 30’ barn with several animals trapped inside. Engine 51 assumed 2nd arriving Engine company operations. The driver supplied the fireground throughout the incident while the crew assisted with extinguishing the fire. Tanker 5 supplied the incident with 2 tanks of water.

Unfortunately several animals perished in the fire. The Dunkirk Volunteers operated on the scene for 2 hours before returning to service.
