At 1658 hours, during the height of rush hour, multiple units from Calvert, Anne Arundel & Prince George’s County were dispatched for the serious accident with entrapment at Route 4 & Lower Pindell Road in Lothian.

Dunkirk VFD Truck 5, Engine 52, the Deputy Chief & Safety Officer responded and found a two vehicle accident with one vehicle in the woods. Truck 5 & Engine 52 were assigned to the Extrication Group and found three pediatric trauma patients.

All three pediatric patients were flown by Trooper 2 & Eagle 1. The Dunkirk Volunteers operated for 60 minutes before returning to service.
