The Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the community for their amazing support back in May of this year.

Just a quick recap, we had posted on our social media pages asking for your support and votes to make us eligible for a $25,000.00 grant from NEST Technologies partnered with The Leary Firefighters Foundation.

Well great news, we won the $25,000.00 grant contest! This was a contest based off of community support for local firehouses throughout the United States. It speaks volumes about each and every one of you that a small community such as Dunkirk was able to beat out thousands of other contestants. We owe it all to you & we are truly blessed by your generosity.

This grant will be used to purchase an assortment of tools and appliances to help the Dunkirk Volunteers provide the best service to you, our customers.

In the upcoming weeks, movie producers will be accompanying NEST Technologies and The Leary Firefighters Foundation as they travel to Dunkirk to film a commercial starring your local Dunkirk Volunteers. This will be filmed inside of our firehouse and throughout our wonderful community. We will be sure to keep the updates coming!
