At 1950 hours, as Squad 5 was picking up from a pin job in Lothian, the first due box assignment was dispatched for the house fire at 3474 Yellow Bank Road. Engine 51, Engine 52, Squad 5, Tanker 5, Ambulance 58, the Fire Chief & both Deputy Chiefs responded.
The Dunkirk Volunteers arrived on location of a two-story residence with an electrical fire in the basement that had spread into the walls and ceiling. Due to quick work, the fire was quickly extinguished. Units picked up and returned to service 30 minutes later.
