At 1407 hours, the serious accident was dispatched in the area of 2910 Lower Marlboro Road (611 Box). Engine 52 (already on the air in the area), Squad 5, Ambulance 59, and Chief 5 responded immediately.

Engine 52 arrived first and reported a jeep on its side with one trapped. Squad 5, Engine 52, and Chief 5 were assigned the extrication group. Squad 5 went to work and stabilized the vehicle utilizing the Res Q Jak struts and stakes. The priority 1 patient was rapidly extricated using Dunkirk VFD Amkus tools and transported via MSP Aviation to a local trauma facility.
