At 1106 hours, units from Dunkirk VFD were dispatched to Route 260 and Jewell Road for the vehicle accident. En route, communications advised that there were multiple patients and reported one occupant trapped.

Engine 52, Squad 5, Ambulance 58, Chief 5A & Chief 5 arrived to find a two car t-bone accident with one occupant pinned and one occupant trapped in two separate cars. Squad 5 went to work on the pinned patient. Two doors and the “B” post were removed followed by the dash being pushed.

The second patient was extricated from the second car by Squad 1 & Engine 52. Ambulance 58 transported one to a landing zone where the patient was flown to a nearby trauma facility for evaluation.

**During this incident, 5 members aboard E51 were filling-in at Kentland VFD and subsequently operated as the first due Engine Company on an apartment fire.**
