At 1639 hours, the Dunkirk Volunteers were alerted for the serious accident at Route 4 & Skinners Turn Road.

Squad 5, Engine 51, Engine 52, Ambulance 58, Chief 5 & Chief 5A arrived to find a single vehicle on fire that had struck a pole. The patient had self-extricated shortly after the crash. The fire was quickly extinguished and the patient was ground transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
