At 1007 hours, during Open House preparations, the box alarm was sounded for a House Fire at 9011 Michael Way (110 box). Engine 52, Squad 5, SO Howes, AFC (North Duty Chief), and the Fire Chief responded with 15 volunteers.

Engine 12 (North Beach VFD) arrived first with fire showing from a two story cape cod. Engine 52 arrived second, backed up with the 400' pre-connect and assisted with extinguishment on the first & second floor. Squad 5 conducted a primary search and controlled the utilities. The squad driver threw numerous ground ladders as well.

Crews from 5 operated for 1 hour before clearing. The Dunkirk Fire Chief had Operations & Dunkirk Assistant Fire Chief had Interior.
