The DUNKIRK VOLUNTEERS were sent to 3307 Cox Road in Chesapeake Beach this afternoon for a reported house fire. This brought Chief 5A (Holzberger), Rescue Squad 5(Lt. Allen), and Engine 51(Lt. Sines) to the scene with 10 VOLUNTEERS. First arriving Engine 1 reported a 1 story SFD with smoke showing. Engine 1's lineman found fire involving the kitchen, with extension to the attic, and made quick work of the same. Units from Dunkirk arrived on location shortly after, the Engine advanced a backup line, as the Squad split crews, conducted a primary search, controlled utilities, ventilated, and threw ground ladders. Units from Dunkirk operated for a little over an hour before returning to service.
